Things which I enjoy about the "Self Defense" series are the mildly surreal plots unwinding in varied locations such as the photographer's studio or, for the showdown in this case, the onetime familiar lakeside retreat setting. It all looks great with nice choices of unobtrusive music, even the odd comedic twinkle (love the gulp from Aria when her Vanessa character realizes what she's up against), the popping of an arm muscle etc., yet none of these factors distract from the all-important fast and furious action. Impressive lifts (and throws even) by both ladies including a classic back-straddle hold performed with awesome ease by Gia. It's a super fight where time just flies. Also there's the prospect of another titanic battle between the spinach souped-up girlz to come. It's a nice idea that the green stuff works only for a very limited period. She barely survives here, so could feisty fireball Aria really take on Gia AND her equally big sister (Atillah Hunn) next time round, and, if Vanessa is destroyed finally, will their target be similarly little and spunky Carmen?

I hope you do it again in the future, maybe also holding the liftee against a wall, while being lifted by the armpits, collar or throat. And also an overhead lift would be awesome.

Being curious: was the armpits lift by Vanessa (Aria Martinez) for real? Even if short, it seems it was for real, impressive!
