Trailer - "UNDERGROUND"

"UNDERGROUND"

In this custom-ordered clip, Roxie Lace plays the tough-as-nails organizer of an underground fight club, and an undercover detective is sent in to infiltrate it.

Per the customer's request, this video is patterned after 50s-era cinematic fight scenes such as the diner fight near the end of the film "Giant" involving Rock Hudson; 2) the saloon brawl in the film "Spoilers" involving John Wayne and Randolph Scott; and the climactic fight between Claudia Cardinale and Brigitte Bardot in "The Legend of Frenchie King".

As the customer requested: "Pure fighting, complete with torn clothing and lots of props being flung around. No bear hugs. No throat lifts. No wrestling moves. No martial arts from other continents."

This one's as much fun to watch for us as it was to make!

Starring Monique Lavallee and Roxie Lace.

Short but sweet, this is a super value little clip.  Despite the basic fighting style being no more than as described, I loved this.  It's been some time since John Connor has given us such a fun video.  Great performances from the Girlz (Monique has never been better; she really impressed me).  Also, the bloopers are the most hilarious yet.

This new mini-movie from FightGirlz is short in length, but it is a very good one and the fist-fighting is very similar to the 1950's saloon-bar punch-ups that can be seen in the Western movies.  There's a lot of power behind every punch and consequently Monique or Roxie ends up on the carpet nearly every time after being on the receiving end of each bare-knuckle fist!!!  Excellent acting from the Girlz and Monique's performance was very impressive indeed.  This is a good back-and-forth fist-fight and one of the Girlz is knocked out at the end!  Great fun!

These two women overflow with stage-fight talent -- and show that they can fight as well as most dudes, not to mention execute a fighting style that only men were allowed to pursue back in the day.  Monique Lavallee just keeps ratcheting up her fightcraft, and the camera shot where she reacts to Roxie Lace's goad to put down her badge and fight reveals some serious depth.  Monique's facial expressions and movements in that single camera shot are worth the clip's price.  But there is so much more in this packed video, namely, Roxie.  Is there a more riveting villain?  I'm locked into the gleam in her eyes -- and I'm wondering if anyone can resist that blaze in the same room?  Bravo, Monique and Roxie!

Can't help offering one more kudo to Monique for her work in this clip.  Her stunt, falling onto the rolls of carpeting/rugs/wallpaper (or whatever those things are) is perhaps the best one I've seen on FightGirlz 2000.  Hats off to her for the courage it takes to let go of oneself onto a stack of strange objects, then clatter to the floor.  Rockin' fine, Monique!

Bough this video yesterday.  I enjoyed it a lot.  Kudos to who ordered this custom, who came up with an idea for the fight that made it unique and original in regard to the other FG2K videos.  It's a pity no other videos took this idea and also run with it.  I have a preference for Fem Fights which are pure brawl, with none to very little wrestling moves.  Personally, I prefer a Fem Fight with a high number of strikes, but this video is based on those classic Hollywood movies fights, so it makes sense the strikes number is lower than the average FG2K fights.  The girls make each punch count.  As said before, the girls are all great.  Both Roxie and Monique are missed.  I could say the only problem this video has is it's short running time, but it is a custom order so I can't fault the customer for ordering a short 10 minutes video.  But I'm so glad he had this idea.  Good job to all involved.
